Who runs Pursuit
This service is run by Pursuit and is open by invitation. For anything about your data, write to [contact address].
What Pursuit stores about you
- Who you are: your email address, the name you gave, your language.
- Your profile: your sport, your equipment, your bar and plates, your bodyweight if you entered it.
- Your training: your programs; every day you logged, with its lifts, sets, reps and loads; how you felt and how you slept, if you said; your notes.
- Your body: aches and injuries you recorded as niggles, with the body part, how bad, since when and until when; your personal bests and other measurements.
- Your conversations with the agent, and what the agent or an assistant did for you, so that it can be undone.
- A record of every change to the above, with its time.
- For signing in: one-time codes and session tokens, kept only as hashes; a key of your own for a model provider, kept encrypted; the assistants you connected.
Some of this says something about your health: a niggle does, and so can a readiness, your sleep or your bodyweight. Pursuit treats all of it with that in mind.
Pursuit does not collect your location, your contacts or your photos. It has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and it sends no crash reports.
Why
To be your training log and planner: to build today's session, to keep your record, and to show you your progress. For nothing else.
Where it is, and where it goes
- On the Pursuit server, in Italy, in one database, and in nightly backups of it.
- To the mail provider, Resend (United States), which delivers the sign-in codes and other mails: your address and the mail itself.
- To a model provider, only if you add your own key. Then, each time the agent answers, Pursuit sends what it needs (your profile, your program, your recent log, your notes and niggles, and what you write in the chat) to that provider, under your account with them and their terms.
- To an assistant, only if you connect one. What you allow it to read is then handled by that company under your agreement with them.
- Nowhere else. Your data is not sold and not shared.
Who can reach it
You. And Pursuit, which runs the server and so can technically reach the database and its backups, and does so only to keep the service running, to answer a request of yours, or where the law requires it.
Nobody at Pursuit can look into your account from the app or the website. If you want help, you send what you choose, for example your export.
How long
- Your account and everything in it: until you delete it.
- Backups: at most 35 days.
- The server's log, which notes sign-ins: a few weeks.
- Sign-in codes: ten minutes. Sessions: 90 days without use.
- Mail at the provider: as the provider keeps it, about 30 days.
What you can do
- See and take your data: You → Export on the website gives you everything as a file.
- Correct it: a logged day can be edited for seven days. After that, write to us and we correct it.
- Delete it: Account → Delete account, in the app and on the website. It deletes your account and everything in it at once; backups follow within 35 days. A lift you added to the shared catalog stays, without your name.
- Ask us anything about it: write to [contact address]. You get an answer within a month.
- Complain: to the data protection authority where you live. In Italy that is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
On your device
The website sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in. The app keeps your session and, until they are sent, your unsent workouts on your phone. Signing out removes both.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that matters, you are told in the app before it applies.
